Garner IB Magnet Dance Program
The Garner Magnet High School (GMHS) Dance program is a very strong and diverse program serving students from grades 9 through 12. We offer classes in levels of Modern Dance from beginner to advanced, as well as International Baccalaureate (IB) levels. This audition based program has one dance director and a Boosters Parent Organization. Students involved in this program are exposed to and participate in dance performances, production work, dance intensives, research, collaborations, outreach activities, fundraising activities and more. Our mission is to provide the highest quality of dance training, production training and dance education to our student body and to prepare them for a professional career in dance if desired. As of 2017, GMHS Dance program is an Institutional Member of the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO) with a National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA).
